Happy Women's Equality Day! 💪

First recognized in 1973, National Women's Equality Day is celebrated annually on Aug. 26 to commemorate the adoption of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. This amendment gave women the right to vote. However, it is important to recognize, many women of color didn’t officially get that right until decades later.

Nearly 50 years later, we’re still celebrating the women in our lives on Aug. 26, the women that came before us, and acknowledging the work that still needs to be done in order to achieve true equality.

We've curated a list of 9 inspiring quotes from iconic women to help you celebrate! Share your favorite one with the women in your life!

Gloria Steinem: 'The future depends entirely on what each of us does every day; a movement is only people moving.' Malala Yousafzai: 'I want every girl to know that her voice can change the world. Elizabeth Cady Stanton: 'I would have girls regard themselves not as adjectives but nouns.'
Audre Lorde: 'It is not our differences that divide us. It is our inability to recognize, accept and celebrate those differences.' Sheryl Sandberg: 'In the future, there will be no female leaders. There will just be leaders. Ruth Bader Ginsburg: 'Women will only have true equality when men share with them the responsibility of bringing up the next generation.'
Sonia Sotomayor: 'Don't mistake politeness for lack of strength. Michelle Obama: 'There is no limit to what we as women can accomplish.' Emma Watson: 'Feminism is equality; politically; culturally; socially; economically. That's it, that simple./></td>
